Richard Silver Photo

Boynton Beach, FL

"Vertical Churches, Time Slice and Tilt Shift are more of the styles of Photography unique to my work."
Richard Silver is New York born and bred but to him, home is where his camera is, in between trips, you might find him relaxing in Florida. Richard has visited 101 countries and more than 350 cities in his life.

Richard’s love for travel has afforded him many opportunities to shoot different cities and cultures. He loves iconic architecture, whether it’s ancient or modern, and is always focused on documenting beautiful structures in each new city he visits. Richard loves using techniques such as tilt shift, vertical panoramas and time slice to present our everyday world in an altered visual context. His work has been exhibited in museums and galleries around the country, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Skyscraper Museum, LaGrange Art Museum and Krause Gallery in New York.

More About This Creator

How do your pieces come to life? Tell us one interesting thing about your creative process?

"Some of my work pulls you in to see exactly what you are looking at because you have never seen work like this before, especially my Time Slice series. I put 36 photos together by slicing them into one single image showing the change from day to night, it is a beautiful way of seeing architecture."

What funny moments, unexpected surprises, or obstacles have you encountered?

"People are always asking me about my photos when I am shooting using my tripod, taking the same photo at sunset. They have no idea of what I am trying to do and it is funny and nice to be approached with questions."
